Lily checking out “Big Job“ for the first time and honking the horn

Get your kids off the screen and into Route 66 or other types of nostalgia. Ultimately they are going to be the next generation to save history or to at least tell the next generation about it. This is a great 1954 FORD C800 COE TRUCK. I was lucky enough to purchase it from the second owner. It came with complete history of its existence from 1954 until 1992. The truck was restored by the Topeka Fire Department in 1978 and then retired in 1992. During the course of the restoration in 78, the pumper bed was removed, 317 engine was replaced with a late model FE type, the electrical system was upgraded to 12v and a new Reading utility bed and generator were installed. It’s last decade of use was primarily as a ladder and electric supply truck. I believe it may have also been used for storing extraction devices as well.
