San Diego: An officer and civilian driver are injured after a crash at an Oceanside intersection, officials say. At about 9:15 AM, an officer with the Oceanside Police Department was making a left turn onto Roymar Road from Mission Avenue when the driver of a white sedan ran a red light. The two vehicles collided, sending the sedan into a nearby traffic signal pole. The officer had a green arrow light at the time of the crash, OPD says. The civilian driver was extricated from their vehicle and subsequently flown to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. Their injuries were not immediately known.
