US policy in 1948 was to maintain the rich-poor disparity between the US and Asia, a declassified document by George Kennan revealed. But here’s the worry: informed US sources confirm that the current, modern day operation to stop the Chinese from buying high level chips is NOT, as claimed, to harm China’s military. It’s designed to halt development in China generally. In moral terms, this is concerning.
