An established artist from the ancient city of Poznan in central Poland, Mariusz Czarniak is no stranger to the electronic music scene. Through his Enigmatic production alias, he has been a regular across clubs in Warsaw, Poznan, and Gdansk alongside such celebrated names as Jonas Saalbach and Budakid. A portfolio that includes well over a century of production credits stretching back almost 15 years is no less impressive, featuring releases on Traum, Saturn Return, 3rd Avenue, trndmsk, and Electronic Tree, run by fellow countryman Tuxedo. A rich sonic palette paints a vivid Organic House picture in “He Looked So Happy“ that drives forward with pumping sidechain compression. A glistening array of motifs generate sublime counterpoint phrasing that sees a chiming arpeggio sequence come to the fore at the breakdown alongside beautiful ambient effects.
