Fiona - The Lost Songs *1988* [FULL ALBUM]

This is my personal album that showcases a bunch of the hard to find / unreleased tracks of 80’s rock icon Fiona Flanagan. This is just a few lost songs from Fiona. Some are on movie soundtracks, some are not. A lot of these tracks in this video are very hard to find as some are also demo tapes with The Dixie Dregs. Of Irish origin, Fiona was born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey after her parents moved from Dublin to the United States. Brought up in a family of Catholic traditions, right from childhood she felt drawn towards traditional Irish music and even learned to play the clarinet at school. Even when she was awarded a grant for the University School of Drama in New York, she decided on a musical career. At the age of 18, she moved to New York City where she began her career as a singer in several rock bands (one of which being the Dixie Dregs in 1982). The tracks she performed for them in this video are: “Searching“ (Track 1), “I Want You“ (Track 2), “Heaven On My Mind“ (Track 3), and “Call It Love“ (Track 4). According to rumors, it was these demo tracks that scored her the big record deal with Atlantic Records. She is mostly known for her acting debut in the Jan 31, 1986 “Miami Vice“ second season (Season 2) episode titled: “Little Miss Dangerous“ and her hit songs: “Hopelessly Love You“ and “Living In A Boy’s World“. This video also compiles some of her rare musical contributions towards 80’s movie soundtracks: “Quicksilver 1986“, and “Johnny Be Good 1988“. It also contains a super rare cover performance of “Lights“ (Track 10) by Journey that she performed for Evolution: Tribute to Journey (the track is considered to be the most recent recording that Fiona has done if you exclude her 2011 album). With that said, Fiona Flanagan has collaborated with countless heavy rock artists of the 1980’s such as Warrant (Cherry Pie), Europe, Bryan Adams, etc while also being known as the love interest in the 1987 Bob Dylan film: “Hearts Of Fire“; She also had two big albums in the mid 80’s: “Fiona“, and “Beyond The Pale“. “Beyond The Pale“ 1986 is in my opinion her best album but hardcore glam rock fans will tell you her 1985 “Fiona“ debut album is her best. Through the years she has kept a low profile but in a recent interview, dated in 2010, she said: “I still love singing ... I’m singing just for fun at local events or encores with friends who are giving concerts and ask me to do so“. Personally, Fiona Flanagan is one of my favorite glam metal artists and bringing together these hard to find tracks for you all was a pain, but the end result is a brand new Fiona album that is worth listening to. This album is unreleased and has no distribution label ’88.
