One of my favorite things about Harry Potter is it is a story about love, and love comes in more forms than just romance. I do think the relationship between them is slightly different in the movies. They definitely devote a lot of screen time to these two (not that I’m complaining) and added more emotional scenes that did not exist in the books (the dance and the scene in HBP where they bond over their inability to be with Ron and Ginny). And I like the changes they made, and I love the chemistry between Dan and Emma, and I wanted to do a tribute to that.
