China’s largest homegrown aircraft carrier CNS Fujian begins maiden sea trial in Shanghai

On Wednesday morning, China’s third aircraft carrier, the CNS Fujian, embarked on its maiden sea trial. It took place at the China State Shipbuilding Corp’s Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai, where the Fujian was first unveiled in June sail at approximately 8AM, the trial is mainly focused on testing the carrier’s propulsion and electric power systems to ensure their reliability and stability .The Fujian, designed and built entirely in China, boasts a fully loaded displacement of 80,000 tons, making it the largest and most powerful warship constructed by any Asian nation and the world’s biggest non-American aircraft carrier. Unlike its predecessors, the CNS Liaoning and CNS Shandong, the Fujian is much bigger and heavier and has a larger flight deck and smaller earlier carriers, the Liaoning and Shandong, underwent ten and nine sea trials, respectively, before entering service. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
