Morgan O’Kane, “New York’s banjo-playing, tambourine-toting, hillbilly-punk journeyman.“ ( / Patrick Flanary) wrote “Feufollet” for his son, and it is meant to be a children’s song about being afraid of the dark. The idea is that when you’re in your darkest hour of despair, recall the good times, “the light“ and use it to pull yourself out and “say goodbye to the Feufollet”. The parable extends farther, speaking to resiliency, overcoming strife and self-determination. Finding this light in th
