IDA HAENDEL G.F. HANDEL PRAYER Gebet Dettingen Te Deum 2006

The great violinist Ida Haendel, born in Poland, lives in Florida and is represented by non profit Patrons of Exceptional Artists. We want to share this moving performance of the “Prayer“ by G.F. Handel during the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentation camp in Poland. Ms Haendel selected this piece being well aware of the symbolism of a Polish born Jewish violinist playing music of a German composer at Auchwitz for the Pope. The arrangement is by Karl
