Chen-style Tai Chi Double Sabre/Broadsword 35 Form 陈氏太极双刀35式(Shuang Dao)

Chen-style Tai Chi Double Sabre/Broadsword 35 Form is one of the classic double-weapon routines. This routine was created by Chen Wangting in the 17th century. Usually the Double Sabre/Broadsword is only taught to advanced students who have already mastered the single weapon routines. It is a very powerful routine comprising alternating slow and fast movements, explosive ’fa jin’ techniques as well as balanced hard and soft internal energies. Regular practice trains one’s hand coordination, agility, flexibility and stamina. The ancient Chinese saying goes ’单刀看手,双刀看走’ - Single Sabre/Broadsword routine focuses on the hand movement while the Double Sabre/Broadsword routine focuses on the footwork.
