And this rattan ladder is more than eight hundred meters long. Every year, people in the village are injured or even die because of climbing the ladder. The local government is ready to set aside a piece of land for the villagers of the cliff village to live. Let them move away from that dangerous place. However, some people in the village refused. The government had to find another way. In the end, 630 million yuan was spent to improve the lives of the villagers. The ladders made of rattan were replaced with stronger iron ladders.
