Rowman - Kite Runners // Elektron Octatrack live performance

This track is part of my Afghanistan EP. Download it for free / name your price on my Bandcamp: You can also stream it on all the digital platforms: I wanted to create textures with both a lofi and ambient vibe with a chill / dreamy feeling using my beloved Elektron Octatrack only. Sound sources are various : sliced loops, random samples, field recordings, recordings of my synths (Moog Minitaur, Elektron Analog Four, Nord Lead A1) and drum machines samples (mostly Samples from Mars). All the FX are coming from the Octatrack. This EP is a tribute to my Afghan roots with some Afghan & Indian samples I digged from old records and that I completely transformed. I composed and recorded first 100% dawless and then decided to record each track separately as well as MIDI information to fine tune things in Ableton afterwards (EQ and compression mainly). The mastering chain is pretty minimalist: gentle EQ, Waves SSL Bus Compressor and L2 Limiter. Hope you’ll like
