Telecaster Style Guitar Build Timelapse - Reclaimed Rustic Tele

This is a timelapse of a complete build of a tele style guitar made from reclaimed wood. This is one in a series of three built for The Old Town School of Folk Music. The wood came from an old support column that came out of the 909 W. Armitage building in Chicago. Hence the 909 inlay at the 9th fret. The column was old growth Douglas Fir. The building was built in 1896 and the patina on the column was evidence of that. The three guitars were auctioned off for a fundraiser for the school. The body and neck are made from the Douglas Fir column and the pickguard and fingerboard are made from oak trim that also came from the building. The pickups are made by Fralin. All music in this video was recorded with this guitar.
