Youtube cancels RT German channels

On the heels of Germany’s first major election, where outgoing chancellor Angela Merkel’s CDU party lost the parliamentary majority by a narrow margin, YouTube abruptly deleted two of RT’s German-speaking channels. Alphabet, parent company of Google and YouTube, cited ‘violation of community guidelines’ and alleged the channels ‘spread misinformation’ about COVID-19.
