If there was a master’s degree for being a selector & DJ, that was it. I was familiar with the Jazz Dance genre, and the amazing music that legends like Colin Curtis, Patrick Forge, Kev Beadle, Charlie Dark and Gilles Peterson play on their radio shows. But there was something absolutely magical about being on the wooden dance floor with the most open-minded crowd, closing your eyes and dancing like nobody’s watching, sweating from the high energy and crying happy tears because of the music selection and the sound quality. It really shaped me into who I am today as a DJ. I matured musically and expanded my horizons.
