Statue of Isis - West Branch, Iowa

This statue of the goddess of life was given to Herbert Hoover by Belgium out of gratitude for all of the work he had done to prevent and alleviate famine in Belgium. The statue was given to Hoover in 1921 and was located at Stanford University until it was moved to Hoover’s hometown of West Branch in 1939.
