Alvin Lee - Detroit Diesel

Alvin Lee- gtr, voc, harp; Leo Lyons- bass; Alan Young- drums; Tim Hinkley- keys; Steve Gould & Mick Fe’at- From the album: Detroit Diesel (1987) Alvin says… this was from 1986 and I had Alan Young on drums. I remember there was an American truck engine called the Detroit Diesel. I contacted the diesel engine people and said ‘I’ve got this great song and you might want to use in their advertising and promotion.’ The guy turned out to be a Born Again Christian. And there’s me singing about meeting prostitutes on the road. This was recorded at the second Space Studio at Wheeler End in Berkshire.
