This song is crazy but has one of the coolest choruses I’ve ever arranged. Such interesting dynamics throughout. Also, ever since Happiness of the Dead, Shiyui has been on my radar. She’s an incredible singer. I really dig this track a lot. Again, I took some liberties with the lyrics here, more than usual. I really wanted to push this one into like a late-2000s punk rock “I’m going crazy for love“ sort of area, and the lyrics were the hardest I had to push for that. I still made sure to keep the themes of the lyrics as they were, but I put a lot of emphasis on using opposite words next to each other to really capture that feeling of love making someone go crazy. Where the smallest thing can cause a huge shift in your mood or feelings about something. But I also made sure to keep the same positive, “keep going“ attitude throughout just like 01 had.
