Ball Bouncing Along Animation Tutorial in Maya - PART 2 - FRE Ball Rig!
This is the second tutorial on how to create realistic or cartoony dynamic bouncing ball animations in Maya. The first video was a simple ball bounce, but this one is more complicated ball bouncing along animation.
Animate a ball with multiple impact points hitting the ground, rolling and coming to a nice stop. You will learn about squash and stretch, timing and delve further into the animation curves in the graph editor
I’ve gone for a more cartoony amount of squash and stretch to help get emphasis it in the lesson, for a more realistic look you would simply apply less values to the squash and stretch
More Squash and Stretch = More Cartoony, but all balls have some deformation in them depending on their material and speed of travel :)
