Searchers – “Can’t Help Forgiving You” (UK Pye) 1964

Written by Jackie DeShannon and Sharon Sheeley. Arranged and produced by Tony Hatch. From the UK EP, “The System” UK Pye took three tracks from the Searchers’ “It’s The Searchers” LP (US title: “This Is Us”) and combined them with the title song from the film, “The System”, to create a 4 track EP in support of the film. It was a strong seller for the band in the UK. The Searchers recorded a number of Jackie DeShannon songs, including the hits, “When You Walk In The Room” and “Needles And Pins” (wr: Sonny Bono-Jack Nitzsche).
