Climate activists spray paint on Finnish parliament building

Climate activists have sprayed red paint on the Finnish parliament building. Eight people from the Finnish group ”Elokapina” and Sweden’s “Restore Wetlands” sprayed the pillars of the building in central Helsinki to draw attention to Finnish state-owned Neova mining peat in Sweden. In a statement they said it was hypocritical that the Finnish state received large European Union grants to, among other things, phase out their own peat mining while at the same time moving some operations to Sweden. #finland #sweden #climatechange
