In light of the government response on the issue, I thought it was necessary and relevant to say a few words about COVID fines and link you to the relevant documents. If the COVID-19 pandemic wasn’t bad enough, the country has been plagued by many tens of thousands of Covid fixed penalty notices and regulations to restrict movement with the threat of financial penalties and even criminal prosecutions if offenders failed to pay those fines.
