China Reports Big Spike In Covid Hospitalisations | China Covid 2023 Latest News | English News LIVE China’s National Health Commission on Thursday said the number of coronavirus patients with severe symptoms in hospital inpatient departments had peaked in early January. Guo Yanhong, who heads the Commission’s Department of Medical Emergency Response, told a news conference that the number of severe coronavirus patients peaked on 5 January and that the number had dropped 44.3% from the peak by 17 January.
