“Fly Me to the Moon“ is a popular song written in 1954 by Bart Howard. It was originally titled “In Other Words“ and recorded by Kaye Ballard the same year. The song has become a popular jazz standard. A bossa nova arrangement was composed by Joe Harnell in 1962. This version sold more than 500,000 copies, peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard’s Nation’s Top Tunes and won a Grammy Award for Best Performance By An Orchestra Or Instrumentalist With Orchestra. Bart Howard was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1999 for this song.
