A history of the world’s fastest Marathon runs, starting in 1980, and leading up to the final breaking of the magical 2 hours barrier by Eliud Kipchoge in 2019. The list includes all official marathon times, even those that will not be considered for the official world record, like Derek Clayton’s 1969 time. You can see how the list starts out mixed with runners from all continents, and then gets completely dominated by African athletes from Kenya and Ethopia. Music: W.A.
