Xbox Series S: 1440p/60fps* (reconstructed from dynamic 1080p) Xbox Series X: - Quality Mode: 2160p/30fps* Ray-Tracing (reconstructed from dynamic 1800p) - Performance Mode: 2160p/60fps* (reconstructed from dynamic 1440p) PS5: - Quality Mode: 2160p/30fps* Ray-Tracing (reconstructed from dynamic 1800p) - Performance Mode: 2160p/60fps* (reconstructed from dynamic 1440p) - Layers of Fear is a reimagining that compiles Layers of Fear (2016), its DLCs and Layers of Fear 2. - The new Layers of Fear replaces Unity Engine with Unreal Engine 5, with really good results. - PS5 and XSX offer two display modes. Quality mode increases resolution, lighting quality and adds Ray-Tracing at 30fps locked. - Performance mode removes Ray-Tracing, decreases lighting quality slightly and average resolution. I recommend this mode for both consoles. - Xbox Series S has no Ray-tracing and has some clipping such as shadows, global illumination, geometry and some post-processing effects. - PS5 offers higher average resolution in both graphics modes with respect to XSX. For example, in the first areas of the final chapter, XSX shows an average of 1188p in performance mode, while PS5 is 1332p. - In terms of performance, the 30fps mode suffers from stuttering on PS5 and XSX. Except for specific areas, the 3 consoles maintain 60fps without many problems. - Due to technical problems unrelated to the game, it has not been possible to record the performance on the PC version. However, it is possible to run the game at 4K/Max. settings above 60fps with any RTX40 series graphics card. - Bloober Team has done a good job of optimization on consoles and PC. Hopefully this is a good precedent for what we will see in Silent Hill 2 Remake.
