ERUPTION & PRECIOUS WILSON. [ ONE WAY TICKET ] Story Silent Eruption was formed in 1969. Changed name in 1974 in London - his new name was Eruption . It consisted of frontman Leslie Johnson, guitarists Greg and Morgan Perrineau, keyboardist Jerry Williams, and drummer Eric Kingsley. A year later, 18-year-old backing vocalist Precious Wilson joined the group . They won the RCA Soul Search Contest in 1975 and were given the opportunity to record their debut single, Let Me Take You Back In Time . But he did not receive much popularity. Frustrated by the failure, Leslie leaves the group, and Preshes becomes the lead singer. On tour in Germany, they were noticed by talent agent Hans Jörg Mayer in 1977 and introduced to his boss, the famous music producer of the super popular band Boney M.
