Twins Birth by Cesarean (non-graphic) - emergency delivery of multiples, attended by doula

March 20, 2007 -- At my 37w ultrasound that morning, my obstetrician noticed Baby A (Gianna) had low amniotic fluid. Both babies were doing great and very healthy, but my doctor said that the low fluid was usually the first thing to “go wrong“ and so she wanted me to have the babies that day. Because Gianna was in the breech position, this meant I was off to surgery. Several hours and a blood transfusion later, Gianna Theresa was born at 5:33 PM and Adam Paul was born at 5:34 PM.
