It takes just a few minutes to look at the Time-Master; a unit which used a 3.5 inch wide belt coated with magnetizable material. These belts were designed to be stronger than the usual plastic recording tapes. The film is presented by Dictaphone Corporation (:14). The new ‘Time-Master’ was designed using the same recording principal of the plastic memo belt (:54). A man demonstrates how to install the memo belt (:55). It must be pre-loaded (1:04). He presses the dictate lever down (1:09) and the microphone beings to record (1:12). A telephone call comes in (1:28). The machine has the capabilities to inform the caller on the other end that they are being recorded (1:37). The machine is put to use recording a small conference (1:43). A secretary is pictured at the office using the Time-Master to use (1:49). The foot pedal controls are displayed (2:02). The memo belt is designed to be extendable (2:14). A secretary marks the memo belt with a grease pencil (2:27). The film boasts the machine is light and good for travel (2:39). The film concludes with the Patton for the new technology (3:37).
