Visit Visit our website Made in consultation with the Pasadena Police Department and Automobile Club of Southern California, “The Social Drinker and the Anti-Social Driver” is a short, color instructional film from 1972 that details the dangers of driving while under the influence of alcohol. A Charles Cahill and Associates film, it particularly targets people who drink socially with friends at bars or during celebrations who would not consider themselves “drunk drivers.” Through interviews with various researchers at both USC and UCLA as well as a few scripted and staged scenarios, the film illuminates how even those who have had a casual drink or two could pose a risk to themselves and others.
