So, we enlisted Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante to do the honors interviewing Evanescence bandleader Amy Lee. LaPlante has been a fan of Lee since she was 12 years old, and she had tons of questions for her longtime hero. Their free-flowing conversation delved into Evanescence’s ’The Bitter Truth’ — the band’s first album of original material in a decade — as well as the power of vulnerability, the beauty in imperfection and the technicalities of both singing and lyric-writing.
