Coilgun

A coilgun or Gauss gun is a device that uses a very strong magnetic field to accelerate a projectile. The magnetic field is created discharging a capacitor bank in a coil. The energized coil becomes an electromagnet that pushes the projectile to a high speed. This device uses high voltage and is dangerous. Do not replicate this at home.
