From ’pit-stops’ to ’home runs’! McLaren F1 duo Norris and Piastri try their hands at baseball

Mclaren F1 stars Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri swapped the racetrack for the ball-park on Friday, as they faced pitches at the London Stadium ahead of this weekend’s return of Major League Baseball to the British capital. Divisional rivals St Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs face off over a two-game series in West Ham United’s London Stadium on Saturday and Sunday following MLB’s high-scoring European debut in the same stadium in 2019 when the New York Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox 17-13. Last week Australian Piastri finished 11th at the Canadian Grand Prix while his British teammate Norris was 13th, they next race in Austria on July 2nd.
