Live performance with the Elektron Octatrack MkII

Please support my work on Patreon: A live song performed solely on the Elektron Octatrack MkII. This set of chords and melodies has been one of my favourite end-of-day meanderings on the piano for the last few months. I’ve been putting together a live set on the Octatrack and decided to make a full arrangement of it. The song started in the box, using instruments and percussion mainly from the Arturia and Native Instruments collections. I was immediately surprised at how much I loved the groove and leaned further into that with the musical choices (e.g. the bass). As a final touch, I decided to add the lines I usually sing, and it was fun to have my own vocals as a sample loop. Then I simply brought the sample loops over to the Octatrack and built the structure of the song using synth filter and a few scenes. Very happy with the unusual territory this song fell into in the end. Performed and recorded live to a stereo output, with EQ, compression, and limiting on the master. Thanks for listening.
