New York to deploy National Guard to subways after string of violence

New York is set to deploy the National Guard to subways after a string of violence on the transportation system. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the plans Wednesday to deploy the national guardsmen to help police search passengers’ bags for weapons, following a series of high-profile crimes on city trains.
