Making a battery from an aluminum can to run two bright LED’s using a joule thief
German supermarkets are now selling “Pfandfrei“ beverage cans -- meaning “no deposit, no return.“ We thought those days of non-recycling incentives were long behind us! Anyway, this may be beneficial to some of us -- look for dumped aluminum cans and turn them into batteries to run bright LEDs using nothing more than stainless steel scouring pads, paper towels and tap water with a capful of drain cleaner poured inside. Couple that with a joule thief and you have a battery that will last a long long time! (
