’Into the Wild’ Bus Removed from Alaska Trail Over Public Safety Concerns

An Alaska National Guard helicopter lifts Fairbanks Bus 142, made famous by the book and film “Into the Wild,“ from a remote trail outside Denali National Park, near Healy, Alaska. The bus is being removed for public safety concerns, after the remote and dangerous site had become a tourist attraction. The bus will be put into storage until a permanent site is found, says the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. (AFP)
