Rainbow Ripples by George Hamilton Green, arranged by David Harvey.

This is my arrangement of George Hamilton Green’s “Rainbow Ripples“ for jazz quartet. The instrumentation is marimba, piano, bass, and alto sax. Rainbow Ripples was written, published, and recorded by Green in 1926. It is an example of early jazz, referred to in Green’s sheet music as a Jazz Foxtrot. This video features a digitally produced file of the arrangement; not a live performance. If you are interested in this subject, you can check out the Marimba and Xylophone History Course at . In VAP Media’s online video presentation, there are hours and hours of material about the history of the marimba and xylophone.
