We all know the top ten or top fifty lists featuring iconic metal songs with hard and difficult solos, riffs etc. Many people also write to me how I am capable to learn so many “difficult“ songs. It is actually interesting what is considered difficult at first glance and what definitely is difficult when you try and learn a certain riff. Especially as a guitar beginner I was constantly searching for challenges: What song might be a good choice to push my skills? I was suprised how easy “.“ was once I learnt it. Back in the day it was on rank 3(!) or the most difficult songs list.
BUT I still do struggle with another riff of System Of A Down after all these years. Watch this video to find out and let me give you a small tutorial on System Of A Down’s style!
