Everything Is Awesome - Saloon Version - Arr. by Gleb Turzhanskii

Sheet music: Synthesia tutorial & .midi file: The Saloon scene from ’The Lego Movie’ is memorable for the catchy tune which turns out to be a ragtime version of ’Everything Is Awesome’ - the song that permeates the whole movie. I really liked it and went online in search of the sheet music only to find out there was none. There wasn’t even a video of somebody performing it on a piano. So I started picking it up by ear. Deep in the process, I discovered there actually was sheet music, and I used it to correct few chords and several notes in fast runs. Having finished picking it up, I realized it was a bit short and decided to extend it while preserving the ragtime form and uplifting and exciting vibe of the original. To me it turned out pretty good. What do you think? It’s actually my first arrangement that I decided to make public - the people at Musicnotes really helped with it.
