Distortion is about embracing the unknown and the slightly out of control aspect of reshaping waveforms and introducing new harmonic overtones. But don’t let technical jargon make us miss the point. Distortion is often about just exploring, trying, and being surprised by the results we get – and that’s one of the best ways to arrive at new music.
