Great horned owl meets Eurasian eagle owl

Uhu the Eurasian Eagle Owl came to work at the International Owl Center for the first time today, for just a couple of hours. Ruby and Rupert didn’t care (they’ve seen her many times before since she is housed next door to them), but it was the first time Alice saw her. She just looked at Uhu intently and kept an eye on her, but when Uhu was on her perch next to Alice (visually separated by a curtain), then Uhu flew to the divider wall and Alice hopped to her wall perch to see Uhu, Uhu got scared and bated, which caused Alice to do a big defense display and continue it for some time. Eagle Owls are big!
