Becoming a ’Catalyst for Change’ in Adult Learning in Ireland - the AONTAS AGM 2023
At our 2023 AGM, we presented our 2022 Annual Report and outlined the key points of our next Strategic Plan which aims to be a ’Catalyst for Change’.
A panel of adult learners and adult learning practitioners discussed the importance of recognising and supporting different abilities and different life circumstances in Adult Education.
Keynote speaker Dr Katriona O’Sullivan recounted how education had helped her out of poverty, and how much structured support is needed to help others.
Thank you to all of our members who took part in person and online, and particular thanks to our speakers:
Lilian Nwanze, AONTAS Board
Darragh Forde & Estelle Kelly, Cope Foundation
Fiona Dowd & Sinead Mahon, Women’s Collective Ireland Ronanstown
