GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Coyotes () | Penguins Get Hot Start in Opener

After an offseason filled with speculation, the Pittsburgh Penguins kicked off their 2022 campaign in a matchup against the Arizona Coyotes at PPG Paints Arena. As soon as the puck dropped, Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang, and Evgeni Malkin already made a mark in the history books: this marks the 17th season that each of those three players have been on a team together. That ties the New York Yankees’ trio of Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, and Mariano Rivera as the longest-tenured trio in North American professional sports leagues history.
