This is the terrifying moment a plane flying in to land at London’s Heathrow airport was struck by a bolt of lightning during a thunderstorm last night. The Icelandair flight from Reykjavik to London was approaching Heathrow airport last night at around when it was hit by the lightning but it somehow managed to escape unscathed. At least two other flights, a plane flying to City Airport from Edinburgh and a flight from Prague into Heathrow, are also believed to have been hit by lightning.
