Wild dance in the sky

When bald eagles lock talons and spin in the air, it usually signifies part of their mating ritual. This behavior is known as the “cartwheel display.“ Two eagles interlock their talons and freefall, spiraling rapidly due to gravity. This ritual is considered both a display of strength and commitment, and a part of the mate selection process. The eagles typically separate just before nearing the ground and fly back up.
