Ancient Future ’World Without Walls’ Reunion Concert: 14 Steps by Matthew Montfort

This live version of ’14 Steps’ by Matthew Montfort was recorded on 6/7/11 at Ancient Future’s ’World Without Walls’ Reunion Concert at Yoshi’s, San Francisco. In celebration of the reunion concert, Capitol Records released Ancient Future’s classic 1990 recording, ’World Without Walls,’ the same day at all major digital retailers. The recording was influential in the world fusion music movement and features tabla master Zakir Hussain. This classic lineup of Ancient Future, which includes Doug McKeehan on piano, Ian Dogole on percussion, Matthew Montfort on scalloped fretboard guitar, and Jim Hurley on electric violin had not all performed together for more than 15 years. On this video, they are joined by Kash Killion on bass and Mariah Parker on santur.
