Rastak - Shadoomad - Based on a song from Khorasan | شادوماد - بر اساس یک ترانه خراسانی

About “Shadoomad“ Poetry and music in folklore music are so intertwined, and it makes the whole composition remarkably surreal. Shadoomad is a love story. This song depicts the beauties of the wedding ritual in the culture of the people of Khorasan. We have tried to re-create this song with a different arrangement. In North Khorasan, wedding ceremonies are held differently. In those ceremonies, the groom rides a horse, and his friends race with him. Meanwhile, people of the village go to the house of the bride. The bride wears wedding clothes and a veil. At the end of the ceremony, when the bride puts her foot inside the groom’s house, the groom picks up some pomegranates, apples, and candies (rock sugar) and throws them at the guests. And with this symbolic action, he thanks them and asks them to leave him alone with his bride. Pomegranate is a symbol of abundance, blessing and immortality in different cultures in Iran. درباره شادوماد شعر و موسیقی در آثار فولکلور، گاه با خلق تصاویری زیبا آنچنان در هم تنیده می‌شوند که حتی وقتی واقعیت آن در دنیای امروز رنگ می‌بازد، باز هم تجسمی لحظه به لحظه را برای شنونده به همراه دارد. قطعه‌ “شادوماد“ که بسیاری آن را با صدای استاد “ستارزاده“ خواننده و نوازنده دوتار می‌شناسند، روایتی عاشقانه است که در دل خود زیبایی های آیین عروسی در فرهنگ مردم خراسان را به تصویر می‌کشد و ما کوشیده ایم که این شادباش روزهای دیرین را با نگاهی متفاوت در تنظیم این اثر جای دهیم.
