Happy New Year! Here we go! Year of the 1992’s Olympics in Barcelona... the last option to qualify there was the EWC. The first session of 1992’s European Weightlifting Championships; the 52kg category. The Championships was hold in Szekszárd, Hungary. The main competition in this session was between the turkish Halil Mutlu, the romanian Traian Ciharean and the bulgarian Sevdalin Minchev. Ciharean won the snatch, but Minchev won the clean & jerk and also the overall gold medal. It was the first overall win of Sevdalin and he was just 17 years old at that time.
