How Volkswagen CEO Got Fired After Praising Tesla

Over the past several years, Tesla has slowly but consistently building a massive lead against the legacy automakers. Considering the stable sales of ICE vehicles and the financial uncertainty of Tesla, most legacy automakers didn’t pay too much attention to the EV trend. However, throughout the past year, EV companies have exploded in popularity and legacy manufacturers like Volkwagen have been forced to take action. One of the most forward-thinking CEOs amongst legacy automakers was Herbert Diess (former CEO of Volkswagen). Herbert Diess has been pushing Volkswagen to make a radical shift into the EV and AV markets for years at this point, but unfortunately, he has had little success. Last year, Herbert pushed extremely hard for a major change within Volkswagen; however, this, unfortunately, resulted in Herbert Diess by fired from Volkswagen as CEO.
